Horses have been a passion of mine since I saw my first one when I was 4 and Mom took me to a circus. I wrenched
free of her grip and ran into the ring, wrapping myself around the startled steed’s leg. It was a wise creature, and
tolerated the baby. I’ve worshiped, owned, trained, ridden, and drawn horses all of my life. I tried living without a
horse, but couldn’t do it. They have been a constant thread of love throughout my life.

I fell in love with stained glass many years ago when I took my first class. I was lucky enough to apprentice under
a wonderful woman who had been in the business for 30 years. Glass is unlike any other medium I've worked within
that it takes on aspects of the surrounding light to transform the "feel" that it creates in the viewer. External sources
seem to play with the light and textures inside the piece, to add another dimension of interaction bringing fresh life to
the work throughout changing seasons and moods. Glass stirs the soul. It was a natural progression for me to move into
equine portraits. What a great excuse to see and play with those wonderful creatures! The way that glass transforms
any image is so satisfying, incorporating light in ways that I had only hoped to be able to express. I hope my work
pleases you, I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to do it. . . . may your life be filled with sparkle. . . Pam
