Commissioned Art Pieces accepted. As with all commissioned pieces, there are multiple stages to
complete the
piece. Each piece is drawn and cut three times, the first time on paper, the second on
the pattern, and the third in glass. If I can cut it in paper, then I can cut it in glass.
It's extremely
important to me that I create the piece that you want, and to have a piece we will both be proud of.
At the beginning of the project, and throughout the construction, I will be contacting you to clarify
what it is that I understand that you want. The following are typical stages of construction:
• Planning and rendering the image
• Determining the type of glass to be used and acquiring same
• Actual Construction of the piece
• Preparing the item for shipping
• Arrival at destination
Due to the time and expense involved, I will not start a commissioned piece without a signed
statement that you (the client) have the authority to have your image duplicated.
For budgeting
purposes, the price of the piece may be figured at $150-$200 per square foot
depending on the
complexity of the design and the glass required. *Once I have drawn the design, we will be able to
know the price for the piece. As soon as I have the piece completed to my satisfaction, I will contact
you. Payment in full is expected upon completion. Without a written image release, pre-payment
is
required.
*Plus my shipping or delivery expense. |
